I have a neighbour that has 6 cameras pointing into my yard for stalking reasons. the cameras are wireless security cameras with motion sensors. I have ask police if this is legal and it is. All I need to know is how can I stop this camera from working without touching it. do laser pointers pointed into to lens stuff them up?
they also have audio how do I bock that?
A: well...the laser pointer will do nothing.
What you should do ...contact a lawyer ... not just a police officer.
Q: Is there a wireless security camera like this?
i want to set up a wireless internet security camera at another home where there is no internet available. Is there a self contained camera that I can just plug in and it either sends the signals to a monitor 30 miles away or can send signals to the internet so I can watch over the net?
A: The technology exists, I am sure, but will be very expensive. You're talking professional security gear. The lack of Internet at the other home increases the cost significantly - otherwise you could just use a waterproofed webcam. 30 miles is a long range also. Is there another house nearby with Internet that would be prepared to allow you to set up some gear and use their connection?
The more I think about it, I am convinced that it is going to be cheaper to pay for an Internet service at your other house!
Q: I have a cheap wireless security camera i need to boost its signal?
how do i boost the signal on a wireless camera setup. its signal strength is about 300ft wich equates to about 40ft-50ft in the real world (cell phone interferance, radio signal interferance etc.) what device is used to boost the signal for these types of devices and how does it work? i need a signal strong enough for it to work up to about 700ft through walls and stuff, the tiny camera is going to be mounted on a small rc car and driven in my backyard : ) there i said it.
A: Boosting the signal requires approal of the Federal Communications Commission and you won't get it. This means you either violate the law (hope you like Leavenworth Kansas) or you do something legal.
You can run a CAT5 cable (max length 100 meters or approx 330 ft for wired CAT5) from the router outside the house and install a Wireless Access Point outside. This shortens the distance and avoids the wall penetration. This should do the job; Watch for security breaches as hackers can find you and you don't want them to enter.
Q: miniature wireless security camera?
Where could someone purchase a miniature wireless security camera that works decently? At least good enough to tell who's doing what. I have some strange, unexplainable things happening inside and outside my home and am trying to determine what is going on. I have located things for outside the home, but haven't came up with a affordable miniature wireless security camera or even a hidden camera of some sort for inside the home. Any Ideas?
A: This question has gone a week without an answer. A Yahoo search for "wireless security cameras" (include the quotation marks) turns up 176,000 results. The first page alone offers 10 sources of this type of equipment. I am sure you will find what you want in the first few pages.
Good luck with your search.

Q: Is there a low cost, tiny, wireless security camera that can record for hours & be hooked 2 the pc to view?
Someone in my family has been stealing things out of my room. I've put a lock on my door & they busted it in. Everyone denies doing anything. I would like to find a tiny survellince camera, that can't be seen (they wont know I got one). That will record, while I'm at work or not at the house (at least 8 hours at a time would be good). I would like for it to maybe hook up to my pc, so I can save the footage to disk, then delete it off the camera's memory for the next use. The lower cost, the better. Is there such a security camera out there? Thank you!

Q: hi how to get wireless security camera in kitchen and voice recorder attached to phone .?
i want to get the day to day recording of my kitchen during my work recorded .has to be with wireless.
A: There are a number of wireless cameras available on the market. Many will allow you to record onto a DVR or a VCR so that you can view the tape when you get home from work. Many of these have sound recording so that it will record as well. I'm not sure what you mean by having the voice recorder attached to the phone? The below site has more information on wireless security camera options.
Q: I am looking for a wireless security camera.?
I need a good web site link or any other information that could point me in the right way. I want to also know if i can find a wireless security cam that i would be able to connect to my pc for recording. ThankS!
A: I would search ebay for that type of camera and then do a google search for it. Or, you can buy it from Ebay.
Q: Would 2.4ghz wireless internet and/or phones interfere with a 2.4ghz wireless security camera?
I was thinking of buying a wireless security camera, but would I receive interference from internet/phones?
A: Yes, probably
It depends on the bandwidth both the camera and the phone use
For example, the camera can be at 2.415 GHz and the phone at 2.420 GHz, in that example there should be no problem, unless the camera use from 2.415 to 2.430, as it overlaps the phone frequency, there will be interference.
you may want to check the camera and phone specifications to see the frequencies they use and see if they overlap
Normally you can choose a channel for the cameras, so you can have it to use from 2.400 to 2.420 OR from 2.420 to 2.440(imaginary numbers) and so on, but as i don't know which camera and phone do you have, I can't tell you...
Q: wireless security camera problem?
I just got a wireless security cam but the picture has a horizontal bar in it and it keeps flickering in an upward direction. I have tried to adjust it with the knob on the wireless receiver to no avail. Could it be a problem with the camera? Ideas?
A: You won't expect a good quality picture with those wireless camera.
Anyway, try to move the location of the camera and the receiver closer to each other..see if those horizontal bars disappear.
If it disappears then it's just the wireless signal of those device is not good.
If it's still flickering and the picture still not good then I suggest you get a new one.

Q: Where do I get a wireless security camera with audio that can hook to my computer with a video card?
Okay what I need to be able to do is record my neighbor when she is having her out bursts shouting and yelling at me and throwing stuff at my cars aparently the way I look sets her off. That is a whole different story though I need the audio and the video to work preferably through my computer or some reasonably priced system we don't have a vcr and I want it to record over longer periods of time and to be able to make replay these things to the police when she lies about what she did. The police have gotten somewhat wise to her since they actually asked her what she meant by things the last time and she told the police that the dog was loose if he was on a leash! and that the curb was the street and that was where she was going to put the garbage she also told them that if she couldn't make me move my car from the public road that she would park on the street blocking the drive way so we couldn't get out once i have documentation of her threatining me I will file a restraining order

Q: wireless security Camera Help..can they share 1 reciever?
I have two wireless 2.4Hgz security camera's i bought..one of them is Astak and the other Sony..but the Astak camera brought 1 receiver..can the Sony and the Astak security camera share 1 receiver? So if put one in the Living room and the other in my yard..will both of those cameras go to the one receiver so i can record? I researched and know for a fact they are both 2.4Ghz cameras...plz help.
A: If they are both wireless, they could possibly share the same receiver if set up the right way. There is some software out there that could turn your cameras on and off. So, it could turn on the yard camera, take a shot then shut off. That would allow the other camera to use the receiver, take a time lapse shot then shut off. It would be a way to alternate cameras on one receiver. Otherwise, a multiplexer and multiple receivers would probably be necessary.
