I had Norton Internet Security 2007 and it was one of the best downloads that I ever had for my laptop. Whenever I talk to people about Norton, they always complain about how it slows your computer down. My argument is that I've never received a virus while having it. So is downloading Norton Internet Security 2008 a good idea? Or is there a faster and more effective download?

A: all that means is that your Norton antivirus didn't notice the virus, so you might have viruses that you don't know about, I had Norton works 2005 ( includes antivirus, firewall, and reg cleaner ), and I thought I was virus free till my contract expired and I uninstalled it and downloaded AVG antivirus and it found lots of viruses and Trojans that Norton missed,also the Norton's 2005 works really did slow down my computer and I noticed a real speed up in my computer after I uninstalled it, maybe the 2007 version is better, but I have lost all faith in Norton's, by the Way AVG is completly free goto www.computeractive.co.uk and you will find a version of AVG there for free download, if you havent tried another program how can you know nortons is the best.

I keep getting message that I need to download new BTYahoo Browser. In order to do so I have to remove my own Norton Internet Security 2006. If I just disable it to allow new browser to download as the new browser contains Nortin Anti Virus it will conflict with my Norton Internet Security. My Norton Internet Security is better than BTYahoo's so I prefer to keep it. Problem is the new BT browser will not install unless I remove it. If I just disable it to allow the download Norton have infomed me that it will conflict. I have tried to get advise from BTYahoo but they just dont seem to understand and have been no help whatsoever. It does not make sense to have to remove a better version of Norton but I am having problems with my browser which is why I need the new one.

A: http://www.drivesentry.com/default.aspx drive sentry is really good.. its a real time(protects internet and doesn't let malware even get on ur computer). it has a scanner, but u'll never need that. i've had it for 2 years and only 8 malicious items have gotten past it, thats amazing. without it, there's probly 8 a day! so drive sentry is really good tho.. and it hardly uses any memory or cpu so ur computer is hogged up at all

Q: I downloaded BitDefender Internet Security 2009 and now I cannot download attachments. Is there a fix?
For the most part, everything works great. Websites load quickly and the computer runs fine. The only other issue that I have run into (other than being unable to download attachments) is that Gmail runs excruciatingly slow, even when just opening a simple text email. Any ideas on that end?

Well I paid for the full version of AVG Internet Security for about 55 dollars plus the backup cd to be sent to me by mail. I downloaded the file with the link they gave me and the file ended up being corrupt and it wouldnt save the file. This pissed me off because I waited over an hour for it to download..now it's starting all over again and I am worried that I was tricked out of my money. People keep saying how "great" AVG is so I took their advice and got it. Why is it doing this to me though? I paid for the full internet security so this computer would have full protection rather than just the limitations of freeware.

A: get your money back if you can, just dont' take no for an answer. go with free versions of avira and avast, they will beat avg anyday no matter what bestbuy will tell you. Otherwise, get on the tech support and get prepared to have to deal with thick accents, but remember managers always speak better english(personal experience)
