A: Go to http://jobsearchtech.about.com/od/computerjob11/Computer_Jobs_Network_Internetwork.htm and see buddy! :o)
Q: I'm planning on getting into Computer/Network Security as a career. What programming languages should i learn?
Not only programming languages, but computer topics or essential things that i can read/learn in a book.
A: Uh not to be rude, but you're asking about programming languages and talking about network security? They're not mutually exclusive, but they don't really have much to do with each other unless you write code for a security company or something.
Get Cisco certified, build a home network, break it, fix it again...and get your MCSE just in case.

A: For the very best background education, that's entirely free, go to 'Security Now' podcasts with Steve Gibson & Leo Laporte.
These are 1hr. 'sit down' chats, that cover current issues, the how & why, with remedies for security issues, related to internet, networking, etc.
You'll need to start with the early 'casts because these are computer functions & basics, and occasionally it gets a bit tekky, but Steve & Leo do it in real easy to understand chat format, that makes it painless, fun, & interesting (if you like the tech stuff to start with).
College level education, free.

A: spam is not alowed on Q&A. you can get booted from the site if you get reported.so I sugest you dont post this type info again or the wrong person might see it and then you wont be able to enjoy Q&A.
Q: Computer Security or Network Administration, which one has a butter job opportunity?
I want to go back to college in order to improve my job prospect. I have two options either to read M.S in Computer Security or Network Engineering. I do not know which one has a brighter job opportunity. I will be grateful for your assistance in deciding which one to do. Thank you
A: I suspect that either program contains some of both subjects. You can't secure a network that has been poorly engineered and the best engineered network without top notch security is reduced to a lousy network. Beware of excess specialization!
Both fields are quickly moving but Network Security is truly an arms race. There are lots of best practices in network engineering but they don't change at the same pace.
Fine network engineering is important to the efficiency of the business but network security is critical to the life of the business and that gives it strategic priority in information intensive companies. For example, network engineering usually reports to a networking manager who reports to MIS who reports to the CIO. In most companies with intensive IT structures (like brokerage) there is a seperate Chief Security Officer (CSO) because of the strategic priority of security.
Also, I suspect there are many more trained network engineers than trained network security people (serious security threats began to rise exponently only about 1997)
So I would suggest the diploma read "security" but you take enough network engineering to speak the lingo and understand the basic architectural choices.
To help you evaluate this advice I will tell you I was founder of the company that built out 700 of the 1000 largest global WANs in the 1980s and early 90s. I worked directly with the CIOs of the top firms when this all got started (and before there were CSOs). Good luck, either choice works.
Q: in security of computer network how can server code our security information when we are wrking in a web page?
please give me some useful information about the effect of servers in security of computer networks.
what kind of program the server send to provide this security and code our security information ?
A: So, you talking about HTTP.
HTTP is an application layer protocol (Refer to TCP/IP protocol stack). Now There is no particular specification of HTTP that say about "How to privide security?". But it is completely dependent on your design , In which layer you want to provide security? If you want to provide in underlying TCP layer then use HTTPS, which is HTTP over TLS/SSL ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Https ). Anyway current HTTPS implementation uses x.509 certificates for end point authentication and Some cryptographic algorithms for Data integrity and Encryption. You can have your own custom mechanisms for security and can bind it to application layer security..

Q: Careerpath for job in computer/network security??
I have a strong interest in computer security. I am in my senior year at Devry University so graduation is right around the corner. So I'm wondering, what kind of jobs should I pursue to help me get into the security field. What certifications would help? What companies have oppurtunities in computer security?
A: Um as a IT graduate myself let me give you some advice. Get yourself some experience now in the IT field , don't wait. Any IT experience is better than nothing. If you don't already have an internship, find one.
One mistake I made was being too narrowminded in my job search after I graduated. IT jobs are tough to land in my experience, so don't be too picky. worry about getting any type of IT experience you can get first, then after you have a few years of IT experience under your belt you can be more picky and choose security if you so choose.
Q: What do computer network security experts do?
A: try and stay one step ahead of the hackers by constantly searching for back door hacks into servers and OS's etc. etc.
Q: Computer Network Security?
What kinds of threats to security do computer networks face and what can be done to protect against them?
A: Trojan Horses, Viruses, Backdoor programs..... you name it there is a threat for it. The best thing to do is just have a good anti-virus program
such as AVG or Norton Internet Security. Those can be found and www.download.com.
Also, make sure that you don't go to questionable sites that offer active X controls, that could also cause a hole in the network.
Be Safe and you should be fine!
Q: what else can i do to improve security on my network and computer?
I have installed trend micro virus 2007, enabled windows firewall, installed a program to wipe my cache, and encrypt all my files with 256 bit encryption. what else can i do to improve my privacy and security on my computer. I was also wondering if there is a way to protect my wireless network more than i am right now than just with the pass key?
I have a two year old Sony VAIO notebook with windows vista home premium, and a seven year old dell desktop running XP hime SP2.
I meant to say XP Home SP2
A: Disable the Guest Account and Administrator account on your computer. Create an account with Administrative privledges and give it a complex password. Use an account with restricted or Power-User privileges.
Turn on WEP and WPA on your wireless router, provided you are using wireless.
If you can, setup your router to block all wireless MAC addresses except the one of your laptop.
Give the router a complex password.
Setup the router to port forward to all un-needed open ports to a non-existant IP on your network.
Try to use sites with secure logins. "https://"
Try to have many complex passwords as you can.
Q: How can i start my studies to become a good computer network and security engineer.?

A: As you want to become a good networking engineer you
must do RHCE(red hat certified engineer )course , it is the world's best red hat course.
To get a good job in computer field you MUST learn c, c++, JAVA, perl , PHP , mysql...
so pull up your socks & work hard .
You can get coching for all these courses .
Best of luck for your career......
Q: first certificate in computer network and security?
first certificate and efficient for getting reliable(stable) work in computer network and security for now and future, plz give your idea?
A: You haven't explained why your wanting to use certificates. With Windows 2003 Server, you'll want to light up Certificate Services. Once you're set as a certificate server you can issue whatever security certificates you want, publish them to your clients, etc. But until you define exactly what you want the certificates for, I can't answer fully.
Q: how can i download free e-books about computer/network/security?
A: You can download free e-books in PDF format through file-sharing softwares like iMesh. Just type the keywords and file type (.pdf).
